WILL AUSTIN

SAFER HOMES. STRONGER COMMUNITIES. SYSTEMS THAT WORK. PEOPLE THAT ARE CONNECTED AND WELL.

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND THE WORK.

CONNECTION CHANGES LIVES.

FEELING SEEN, LOVED, VALUED, HEARD AND LIKE YOU BELONG MATTERS.

PREVENTION BEFORE THE CRISIS.

WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR A CRISIS BEFORE WE TAKE GENUINE ACTION.

LIVED EXPERIENCE MATTERS.

THE PEOPLE CLOSEST TO THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE LEADING THE SOLUTION.

We have a responsibility to confront injustice. Every preventable harm deserves to be prevented. And every generation deserves to be empowered to do better than the last.

THREE INTERCONNECTED VENTURES.

TURN TO ME

A mental health promotion and suicide prevention charity strengthening connection, belonging and community wellbeing. Through workshops, programs and community initiatives, we help build the relationships and conditions that enable people and communities to thrive.

THE MODERN DAD

Supporting everyday Australian dads to strengthen relationships, invest in their wellbeing and break cycles of harm. Through fatherhood development and personal growth, we help build healthier families, safer homes and stronger futures for generations to come.

YARN BARK

A First Nations-led business supporting cultural connection, healing and self-determination while strengthening the cultural capability of the broader Australian community. Through co-design, learning and consultancy, we help transform organisational practice and challenge systems that perpetuate inequity.

FACILITATOR. CONSULTANT. CONNECTOR. SYSTEMS CHANGE ADVOCATE.

Will Austin is a proud Peek Woorroong Keerraay Woorroong First Nations man who has built his life's work around people: their stories, struggles, strengths and capacity for change. While his culture and lived experience ground his perspective, his work extends across communities, sectors and walks of life, shaped by a deep curiosity about people and a belief in our shared humanity.

A facilitator, consultant and community builder, Will brings nearly 15 years of experience working across prisons, schools, corporate workplaces, government and community organisations. His work centres on prevention, community wellbeing and systems change.

His practice brings together facilitation, trauma-informed engagement, consultancy, program design and community development to address complex social challenges. His experience spans mental health and suicide prevention, fatherhood, gendered violence prevention, First Nations cultural revitalisation and self-determination, organisational culture and community wellbeing.

From facilitating difficult, conflicting and divisive conversations safely and leading human-centred, culturally integrated co-design processes to developing bespoke online learning experiences and supporting organisations to rethink established approaches, Will works to turn ideas into meaningful, lasting change.

Grounded in lived experience and professional expertise, Will brings warmth, honesty and a willingness to challenge the status quo. He believes understanding the circumstances that shape people's lives is fundamental to preventing harm, and that meaningful change demands more than good intentions. It requires connection, accountability and a willingness to do things differently.

Ultimately, Will's work is driven by a simple but enduring ambition: to help create safer homes, stronger communities, systems that genuinely care and people that are connected and well — leaving a better world for the generations that follow.
